Dream World – Mask Theater Workshop for Children

The mask theater workshop for children is a creative theater program organized to mark the 250th anniversary of E. T. A. Hoffmann’s birth in 2026. The workshop takes its inspiration from the poet’s fantasy world, whose works are characterized by extraordinary characters, transformations, and dreamlike scenes.

Over the course of the workshop, the participating children will work together to develop their own short stories and characters, inspired by Hoffmann’s imaginative narrative world. Based on these, they will create masks from various materials and use them to stage a short mask theater play.

The workshop combines artistic creation, theater work, and collaborative creativity. The ideas and content emerge collaboratively from the children’s contributions. The workshop concludes with a short presentation of the scene they developed together.
