International Brass

Under the direction of renowned trumpet virtuoso Otto Sauter, international students at the Bayreuth Festival of Young Artists will take part in an intensive brass workshop focusing on festive music from all eras—from Baroque fanfares to modern soundscapes.

The workshop combines artistic excellence, stylistic diversity, and collaborative music-making at the highest level. In daily rehearsals and master classes, participants work on pieces for various brass ensembles and gain insights into interpretation, sound shaping, and ensemble playing. The results are presented in festive closing concerts that bring together the full sonic splendor of the international brass ensemble and captivate the audience with their energy and charisma.
