Young artists explore synesthetic connections between the eye and the ear.
Since its inception, the festival has maintained close ties with the renowned Steingraeber piano manufactory in Bayreuth. An exhibition featuring works by the German-American-French artist Antoine Amadeus Wagner-Pasquier is planned for 2026. Composition students from European music conservatories will be invited to create musical portraits of the exhibits.
The newly created works will receive their world premieres in a unique spatial-sound installation. At the heart of this musical opening will be a conversation between the composition students and Antoine Amadeus Wagner-Pasquier, moderated by art connoisseur and *Die Zeit* journalist Florian Zinnecker. The internationally renowned composer Moritz Eggert has been approached to serve as artistic director.
