"Summer of Love" 2020 - Concerts, open airs and workshops
Festival celebrates 70th anniversary
Participants from all over the world work in the online folk orchestra and also on site in the band camp
With the "Summer of Love", the 70th Festival of Young Artists Bayreuth, the oldest festival in Europe, will kick off its 2020 anniversary festival on July 31, 2020, with J. S. Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 5. Due to Corona lighthouse projects have been created, with hundreds of artists worldwide expected to participate in the online folk orchestra. However, several international young participants will also work together on site, both in band camp and in workshops for percussion or composition. The results are then performed live at around 50 concerts, events or open airs in Bayreuth and the region.
